Littelfuse Baseband Voice DS1 SIDACtor Protection Thyristors offer an overvoltage protection solution that helps applications comply with Telcordia GR-1089 Issue 4, ITU-T recommendations K.20, K.21, K.44, and K.45, and TIA-968-A.

P-0EAL Voice-DS1 SIDACtor Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse P-0EAL Voice-DS1 SIDACtor Protection Thyristors are designed to protect baseband equipment such as modems, line cards, CPE, and DSL from damaging overvoltage transients. The TO-92 components provide a robust through-hole solution that enables equipment to comply with global regulatory standards. Surge capability does not degrade after multiple surge events within limit. The P-0EA thyristors Littelfuse feature low voltage overshoot, low on-state voltage, low capacitance, and fails short circuit when surged in excess of ratings.

SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors are thyristor devices used to protect sensitive circuits from electrical disturbances caused by lightning-induced surges, inductive-coupled spikes, and AC power fault conditions. The unique structure and characteristics of the thyristor are used to create an overvoltage protection device with precise and repeatable turn-on characteristics with low voltage overshoot and high surge current capabilities. SIDACtor components are solid state crowbar devices with a patented ion implant technology that ensures effective protection within nanoseconds. Littelfuse SIDACtor Protection Thyristors include a wide range of semiconductor protection thyristor over-voltage transient suppression devices designed to serve requirements of telecom and data networking equipment applications.

SIDACtor® Baseband Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse SIDACtor Baseband Protection Thyristors are solid state crowbar devices designed to protect of baseband telecommunications equipment such as phones, faxes, modems, line cards, CPE and DSL from damaging overvoltage transients. Leveraging the latest in thyristor advancements, Littelfuse offers SIDACtor devices with a patented ion implant technology. This technology ensures effective protection within nanoseconds, up to 3000 A 1.2-50-8/20 surge current ratings, and simple solutions for regulatory requirements such as GR 1089, TIA-968-B (formerly known as FCC Part 68), ITU-T K.20, ITU-T K.21, and UL 60950-1. In the standby mode, SIDACtor devices exhibit a high off-state impedance, eliminating excessive leakage currents and appearing transparent to the circuits they protect. If a voltage exceeding the switching voltage (VS) occurs, the SIDACtor devices crowbar and simulate a short circuit condition until the current flowing through the device is either interrupted or drops below the SIDACtor device's holding current (IH). When this occurs, SIDACtor devices reset and return to their high off-state impedance. NEW! Littelfuse expanded its SIDACtor Baseband Protection Thyristors product line to include the low profile SMA Series which features excellent surge rating, low voltage overshoot, and low capacitance, a smaller SMA package, and does not degrade surge capability after multiple events.
