These PoEs are a solution for remote powering of current and emerging high-power indoor applications. The PD-9501GC and PD-9501GI/DC PoEs comply to IEEE 802.3at PoE standards and are backward compatible with IEEE802.3af. The PD-9501GI/DC can power both existing 10/100/1000Base-T network devices and 1000BaseT devices such as wireless IEEE 802.11ac access points. Microsemi / Microchip PD-9501GC midspan can power both existing 10/100Base-T devices and emerging wireless Gigabit devices such as Wi-MAX and wireless IEEE 802.11n access points.

The PD-9501GCO Midspan allows wireless LAN access points, security network cameras, and other IP terminals to receive 60W of power and data over standard Ethernet cables, leaving network infrastructure completely unaltered. The PD-9501GCO also offers surge protection for both the AC and the PoE ports, ensuring that indoor equipment is protected from outdoor surges.
