STSPIN stepper motor drivers provide a ready-to-use solution for motor and motion control systems in various voltage and current ratings. The STMicroelectronics drivers are available in many space-saving, thermally-enhanced packages.

Motor Drivers

STMicroelectronics Motor Drivers are a wide range of motor drivers covering the requirements of brushed DC motors, stepper motors, and brushless DC motors. The drivers are offered in an extensive range of voltage and current ratings. STMicroelectronics STSPIN motor drivers embed all the functions needed to drive motors efficiently. This is achieved with high accuracy and includes an advanced motion profile generator.

STSPIN820 Stepper Motor Driver

STMicroelectronics STSPIN820 Stepper Motor Driver integrates control logic, a low R_DSon power stage, and is housed in a small QFN 4x4mm package. The STSPIN820 stepper motor driver's integrated controller implements a PWM current control with fixed OFF time and a microstepping resolution up to 1/256^th of the step. This stepper motor driver can be forced into a low consumption state and offers protection features like overcurrent, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection. Typical applications include 3D printers, medical equipment, POS, robotics, industrial 2D printers, and textile and sewing machines.
