CTS Electronic Components CTS-CS-CAX Current Sensor Modules
CTS Electronic Components CTS-CS-CAX Current Sensor Modules are designed for non-intrusive and isolated measurement of electric currents. These modules offer a clamp-on design, so the contactless current sensor can be safely installed without interrupting or cutting the cable. The CTS-CS-CAX current sensor modules consist of a PCB with a Melexis IMC-Hall® planar current sensor, a CTS-CS-CXX clamp-on shield, and the necessary components. These modules support a DC voltage of 5V, providing a linear analog output voltage between 500mV and 4500mV as a function of the primary input current. The CTS-CS-CAX current sensor modules offer excellent linearity error below 0.5%FS, offset as low as ±5mV, and sensitivity drift of 1% over the full temperature range. Typical applications include IoT, industrial, e-metering, photovoltaic, motor control, battery monitoring, charge control, and white goods.
The clamp-on design supports easy integration into existing system structures. No need for cutting cables or interrupting circuits when retrofitting the application. This clamp-on design allows for the simple placement of a clamp-on current sensor around the conducting element, as shown in the illustrations.
