Microchip Technology MCP8027 3-Phase Brushless DC Motor Gate Drivers

Microchip Technology MCP8027 3-Phase Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor Gate Drivers include three integrated half-bridge drivers. The three half-bridge drivers can deliver 0.5A at 12V peak out current for driving high-side and low-side NMOS MOSFET transistors. These BLDC motor gate drivers integrate two LDO regulators, a buck voltage regulator, an overtemperature sensor, a comparator, and power monitoring comparators. The MCP8027 gate drivers operate within the -40°C to 150°C temperature range and 6V to 28V voltage range.

The MCP8027 gate drivers feature 5μA typical Quiescent current (sleep mode), thermal shutdown function, and 6V to 40V input voltage range. These drivers are available in 40-lead 5mm x 5mm QFN and 48-lead 7mm x 7mm TQFP with Exposed Pad (EP) packages. The MCP8027 drivers are used in home appliances, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) control, hobby aircraft, and ventilation motors.
