Ultra-Rugged Amphenol Industrial Max-M12 Connectors Available from Mouser

Designed for use in extremely harsh environments, these rugged, high-speed data transmission connectors are built to withstand high vibration and high temperature. The devices are housed in a HDM 12 metal or plastic shell, and are available as a straight or right-angle connector. The Max‑M12 is a perfect solution for a variety of ultra-rugged applications where a robust connection system is required.

The Amphenol Industrial Max-M12 Connectors, available from Mouser Electronics, are able to withstand temperatures ranging from -55°C up to 125°C, increasing to -55ºC up to +150ºC with Viton Seals, Current rating for the 4-pin is 4A at 250V, with the 5-pin rated at 4A at 60V. The Max-M12 connection system is both dust and waterproof, and is resistant to high pressure and high temperature wash downs per extreme SAE J 2839 environmental testing requirements. The connector can be terminated into 0.8 mm² (18 AWG) or 0.5 mm² (20 AWG) wires as defined by SAE J1128, and 0.75 mm² or 0.50 mm² conductors, as defined by ISO 6722. All Max-M12 connectors are rated at IP67 or above, and comply with IEC 61076-2-101 (M12) and SAE J2839 standards.

The Max-M12 connection system is ideal for applications that utilize construction machinery and equipment, forestry equipment, navigation, GPS and telematics, mining machinery and equipment, agricultural machinery and equipment, and harsh environment sensors, controllers, actuators and switches.

The Max-M12 connection system can be configured with A, B, D, and P polarity codes in line with IEC 61076-2-101 specifications, and come as stand-alone connectors or cable assemblies with an option to over-mold the cable assembly, if required.
