High-Speed Edge Card Connectors

Samtec High-Speed Edge Card Connectors feature a wide variety of pitches, including 0.5mm, 0.635mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.27mm, 1.6mm, and 2mm. Mounting angles include straight, right, and vertical. These connectors are offered in an expansive range of mounting styles such as edge mount, board lock, mounting peg, SMD/SMT, straddle mount, through hole, and more. The number of positions on Samtec High-Speed Edge Card Connectors ranges from 8 to 300.

MEC5 Extreme Density Micro Edge Card Sockets

Samtec MEC5 Extreme Density Micro Edge Card Sockets are 0.50mm pitch edge card sockets with a justification beam. This design allows high-speed signals to pass through an incredibly dense connector while keeping the mating PCB at a reasonable cost. The justification beam of the socket is designed to shift the card into proper alignment with the contacts allowing for a standard board tolerance on cards that typically would not work with ultra-fine pitch connectors. Manufacturing costs are optimized, creating 30% to 50% PCB cost savings and a high yield for standard cards.
