Qwiic Breakout Boards

Qwiic Breakouts are compact boards, each based around a device that provides input or output to a Qwiic Connect project. Options include optical sensors, temperature sensors, accelerometers, magnetometers, Real Time Clocks, and GPS modules. Most Qwiic Breakouts have two or more connectors allowing multiple devices to be connected.

Qwiic Connect System

SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I²C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. The Qwiic Connect System uses the Inter-integrated Circuit (I²C) Protocol. I²C protocol is intended to allow multiple "slave" digital integrated circuits to communicate with one or more "master" chips with only two wires.

Qwiic RTC Module (BOB-14558)

SparkFun Qwiic RTC Module (BOB-14558) is based on the RV-1805 chipset, designed for the Qwiic Connect ecosystem. The RTC module is an ultra-low power that runs at 22nA using a supercapacitor for backup power. This supercapacitor can charge and discharge cycles without degrading the "battery." The RTC module utilizes the handy Qwiic system and communicates through I2C, making it easy to get the readings. This RTC module's built-in RV-1805 chip comes with two internal oscillators, a 32.768kHz tuning fork crystal, and a low-power RC-based oscillator. These oscillators can automatically switch using the precise crystal that corrects the RC oscillator every few minutes. This allows the module to maintain a very accurate date and time over a year.
