Coin Cell Supercapacitors

Eaton Coin Cell Supercapacitors feature a high capacitance capability utilizing an electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) construction. The capacitors offer low ESR for high power density with eco-friendly materials, which allows for a long cycle lifespan. The Eaton Coin Cell Supercapacitors are ideal for various applications, including utility meters, network switches/routers, motor control units, HVAC controls, Real-Time Clocks (RTCs), solar inverters, and more. All Coin Cell capacitors are lead-free and RoHS-compliant.

Energy Storage

Eaton Energy Storage features supercapacitors that support energy storage applications in power generation, the grid, and on the user side. The product lineup is designed to meet the challenges of stability, sustainability, and safety. Eaton supercapacitors offer up to 1M cycles and are available in a variety of termination styles, including radial, through-hole, screw, connector, and stud-threaded. These products are helping to push energy storage technology to the next level.

KV Coin Cell Supercapacitors

Eaton Electronics KV Coin Cell Supercapacitors are designed for a fast lead time and cost-sensitive applications. These modules feature a 5.0V rated operating voltage and a temperature range of either -25°C to +70°C (KVR) or -40°C to +85°C (KVW). These Eaton Electronics supercapacitors offer an operating life of 1000 hours and are ideal for use in consumer, light industrial, and real-time clock backup applications.

KW Coin Cell Supercapacitors

Eaton Electronics KW Coin Cell Supercapacitors feature the smallest available package size and lowest ESR in a full -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range. The series offers an operating life of 1000 hours at 85°C, 5.5V voltage, and a capacitance range of 0.1F to 1.0F. These supercapacitors are ideal for high-reliability industrial applications by providing a full industrial temperature range for low current RTC and memory backup requirements and a demonstrated 20-year operating life. The KW Coin Cell Supercapacitors have a low-profile design that makes them very useful in space-constrained applications.  

EDLC Supercapacitors

Eaton Electronics Supercapacitors are ultra-high capacitance devices utilizing electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) construction. Combined with high-performance materials, this construction allows Eaton Electronics to provide various capacitor solutions specifically tailored to applications ranging from a few microamps to hundreds of amps.

Battery Management Systems

Eaton provides a wide portfolio of products for Battery Management Systems (BMS), including terminal blocks, fuses, supercapacitors, chokes, inductors, and more. Battery Management Systems monitor individual cells, system voltage, current, and temperature. When monitoring individual cells, the BMS balances voltages and regulates the current flow, and if the upper or lower voltage, current, or temperature limit is exceeded, the BMS temporarily disconnects the load or source. Eaton Battery Management Systems estimate the State of Health (SoH), State of Charge (SoC), State of Energy (SoE), and State of Power (SoP) in batteries.

Capacitors

Eaton Electronics Supercapacitors provide high capacitance in smaller sizes and the lowest ESR values. Other features include high industrial temperature ranges, outstanding aging characteristics, high efficiency over the full product life, and a demonstrated operating life that exceeds 20 years. These capacitors also provide maximum energy savings and reduced running costs and eliminate the need for routine maintenance. PowerStor / Eaton Supercapacitors are used in alternate energy (solar and wind), medical (X-rays), computer (RAID storage and UPS), and industrial (elevators, forklifts, electric vehicles). They are available in cylindrical (HB, HV, and TV), snap-in cylindrical (XB,XV), and leaded cylindrical (PHB, PHV) types.
