Microchip Technology UPD301C Basic Sink Application Example (EV11L78A) is a reference design based on the UPD301C Standalone Programmable USB Type-C™ Power Delivery (PD) Controller. The UPD301C Basic Sink Application Example adheres to the USB Type-C Connector Specification and USB PD 3.0 specification. Powered by the USB Power Delivery Software Framework (PSF), this evaluation platform provides a quick and easy way of replacing the standard power connector (barrel plug) in any application with a small form factor, reversible Type-C connector. The design supports Dead Battery mode and can sink up to 100W from any standard USB PD power supply.
