Infineon Technologies PSOC™ 4 HV MS-64K/128K Automotive Microcontrollers

Infineon Technologies PSOC™ 4 HV MS-64K/128K Automotive Microcontrollers (MCUs) belong to the PSOC 4 HV Mixed Signal (MS) series. These MCUs are a combination of a microcontroller with a 12-bit SAR ADC, a 5th-generation Multi-Sense Converter (MSC) block supporting capacitive sensing (CAPSENSE™). The PSOC™ 4 HV MS-64K/128K MCUs feature an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ processor with programmable and reconfigurable analog and digital blocks. These MCUs support functional safety levels of ASIL-B according to ISO 26262 and are AEC-Q100 qualified.

The PSoC™ 4 HV MS-64K/128K MCUs feature up to 60mA regulator current, thermal shutdown function, and two low-power comparators that operate in deep sleep low-power mode. These MCUs are used in applications such as PTC heaters, liquid level sensing, car access, automotive HMI, and Wheatstone bridge sensors.

    • Regulator output voltage supports 3.3V or 5V selectable with ±2% trimmed accuracy
    • Up to 60mA regulator current
    • Thermal shutdown
    • Operates directly off 12V/24V battery (tolerates up to 42V)
    • Integrated Local Interconnect Network (LIN)/Clock Extension Peripheral Interface (CXPI) transceiver
  • CAPSENSE™ (multi-sense converter) block:
    • Multi-Sense Converter (MSC) provides a high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) (>5:1) and water tolerance for capacitive sensing
    • 1 MSC converter supported
    • Autonomous channel scanning without CPU assistance

      • Any GPIO pin can be CAPSENSE™, analog, or digital

    • 2 independent run-time reconfigurable Serial communication Blocks (SCB) with reconfigurable I2C, SPI, UART, or Local Interconnect
    • Network (LIN) slave functionality

    • Up to 2 CXPI channels with data rate up to 20kbps
