Bourns Battery Management System
Bourns Battery Management Systems (BMS) manage the state of health (SoC) while charging and discharging battery systems. BMS components feature shunt resistors, high-voltage signals, power transformers, and shielded power inductors. Current sense resistors are AEC-Q200 qualified with a continuous current of 1000A and a low 50µΩ resistance. Bourns signal transformers include common-mode chokes for noise rejection for BMS applications. The shielded power inductors and high creepage high clearance (HCT) transformers are suitable for automotive power conversion, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and communication electronics.BMS works in various batteries to monitor and maintain the cells in good condition so as to maximize output power. Bourns BMS helps enhance the life expectancy of battery cells and protect them from damage.
