Diodes Incorporated PAM8907 31VPP Output Piezo Sounder Driver with Boost Converter is a piezoelectric horn driver that can drive a ceramic/piezo sounder with up to 31VPP output. Implementing an integrated boost converter, the PAM8907 provides an optimized solution with a higher Sound Pressure Level (SPL) for louder output sound, lower quiescent current for longer standby time, and auto turn-on/off feature for an extended operating lifetime. The PAM8907 Driver is ideal for a battery-operated tracker, piezoelectric horn, or alarm-related applications.

The Diodes Incorporated PAM8907 31VPP Output Piezo Sounder Driver integrates a boost converter that operates at a typical frequency of 1.8MHz. The device combines an integrated boost converter and unique piezo sounder driver technology, permitting a small inrush current, low EMI, and highly efficient system performance. The PAM8907 Boost converter output can be set to either 11V or 15.6V with minimum external components for various application usages.

The PAM8907 features built-in automatic shutdown and wake-up functions for a more extended operating lifetime. Additionally, the device assures safe system operation with thermal shutdown protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, and under-voltage-lockout protection. The PAM8907 is housed in a U-QFN2020-10 package and has a 1.8V to 5.5V supply voltage range.
