Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2184 Synchronous Step-Down Converters

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2184 Synchronous Step-Down Converters offer built-in, internal power MOSFETs. The monolithic, step-down switchmode converter reaches 4A of continuous output current (IOUT) from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage (VIN) range, with superior load and line regulation. The output voltage (VOUT) can be regulated to as low as 0.6V.

Constant-on-time (COT) control delivers a fast transient response and reduces loop stabilization. Fault protections include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown.

The MPS MP2184 is ideal for various applications, including high-performance digital signal processors (DSPs), wireless power, portable and mobile devices, and other low-power systems. The MP2184 needs a minimal number of readily available, standard external components and is housed in an ultra-small SOT583 package.
