Nexperia NCA9306 Bidirectional Level Translators
Nexperia NCA9306 Bidirectional Multi-Voltage Level Translators provide two-channel bidirectional I²C and SMBus interfaces and an enable (EN) pin input. The NCA9306 operates between 0.95V and 5V voltage translation without a direction pin. The device does not need a direction pin to support up to 100MHz up translation and >100MHz down translation at ≤ 30pF capacitive load. The NCA9306 allows 5V tolerant I/O pins to support mixed-mode signal operation. The ability to set up different voltage translation levels on each channel makes the NCA9306 flexible and suitable for many applications.
The Nexperia NCA9306 is developed to work with Standard-mode, Fast-mode, and Fast-mode I²C bus and SMBus devices. When the SDAA or SDAB pin is LOW, the clamp is in the ON state, and a low resistance connection endures between the SDAA and SDAB ports. Supposing the higher voltage is on the SDAB port when the SDAB port is HIGH, the voltage on the SDAA port is restricted to the voltage set by refA. Furthermore, when the SDAA port is HIGH, the SDAB port is drawn to the refB supply voltage by the pull-up resistors. The SCLA or SCLB pins also follow the style described for SDAA or SDAB pins.
