Omron Electronics D2EW-R Sealed Ultra-Subminiature Basic Switches with integrated resistors detect four different states in a circuit: OFF, ON, short-circuit, and disconnected. The ON/OFF state indicates if the circuit is closed or open. The short-circuit state indicates a direct connection between two points in the circuit. The disconnection state suggests a break in the circuit or a faulty connection. Monitoring these states allows engineers to quickly identify and troubleshoot any device circuitry issues.
These Omron switches with integrated resistors are based on the D2EW, which provides a leading small size and lever-less multi-angle operation.
