The WBZ350 modules, part of the PIC32CX-BZ family, are secure 32-bit microcontrollers with integrated Bluetooth® and Zigbee® wireless capabilities. The Microchip Technology WBZ350 modules, now available at Mouser, feature a 64MHz Arm® Cortex® M4F processor that balances performance with energy efficiency. Two versions of the modules are available: the WBZ350PE with an onboard antenna and the WBZ350UE with a U.FL connector for an external antenna. Both versions simplify the process of adding wireless capabilities to applications, saving time and reducing RF-design costs. The WBZ350 MCU modules are also pre-certified in the U.S., Canada, Europe, China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, further accelerating time to market and ensuring compliance across major markets.
The WBZ350 modules feature an ultra-low-power 2.4 GHz transceiver that supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.2, IEEE® 802.15.4, and Zigbee 3.0 connectivity. Hardware-level arbitration allows for multi-protocol wireless functionality. The WBZ350 modules protect applications with hardware-based security, as NIST-compliant authentication and secure boot ROM ensure only trusted software is able to run. Robust analog peripherals, including industrial-grade capacitive touch, ADCs, DAC, and comparators, facilitate versatile sensor integration and analog management across a wide range of applications. The WBZ350 MCU modules are built on the MPLAB® Harmony® v3 framework for fast and simple development.
