Mouser Sponsors XIAO Showdown Developer Competition with Silicon Labs, Seeed Studio, and Pico Technology
August 25, 2025 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, is pleased to be a primary sponsor of the XIAO Showdown Developer Competition, along with valued manufacturer partners Silicon Labs, Seeed Studio, and Pico Technology.
The XIAO Showdown is now open. To enter the contest, participants will need to build a project using the XIAO MG24 Sense development board from Seeed Studio, then share it with the Silicon Labs Community. Silicon Labs is also giving away free hardware to enable contestants to jumpstart their build. The first 20 people who submit an eligible project idea will receive a free XIAO MG24 Sense development board shipped straight to them. To qualify, contestants will need to explain their project, using the form provided on the XIAO Showdown site. The project doesn't have to be finished or even started, but contestants must provide thoughtful ideas that fit the contest criteria.
Seeed Studio's XIAO MG24 Sense development board is based on the Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 system-on-chip (SoC) featuring a high-performance 78MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core. The XIAO MG24 Sense is Matter® native over Thread® and Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.3, all supported by the Arduino® Core. The development board also features 4MB Flash, 19 GPIOs, and an onboard charging circuit. Its low operating currents and ultra-low-power modes make it an ideal choice for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, especially battery-powered projects utilizing Matter protocols.
The grand prize winner will receive a $500 gift certificate from Mouser.com, a $1,000 coupon for Seeed Studio Fusion PCBA, a PicoScope 3203D, and more. Second and third place winners will also receive coupons from Seeed Studio Fusion PCBA and benchtop oscilloscopes from Pico Technology.
