TDK ACT1210E Ethernet 10BASE-T1S Common Mode Filters

TDK ACT1210E Common Mode Filters are designed for automotive Ethernet 10BASE-T1S and come in a 3.2mm x 2.5mm x 2.5mm package. These filters utilize TDK's proprietary wire-winding structure and optimal materials to accomplish high scattering parameters (S-parameters) and lower the line-to-line capacitance by up to approximately 30% compared to conventional products. The ACT1210E series operates in a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. High thermal shock resistance and outstanding reliability are achieved by laser welding the winding wires to the metallizing terminals. The lineup includes the ACT1210E-341-2P-TL00 module, which achieves Class IV parasitic capacitance in the OPEN Alliance EMC test specification for common mode chokes.

As the autonomous vehicle industry grows, the installation of electronic control units (ECUs) relating to safety functions, including those for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), is also increasing. Among the Ethernet telecommunication standards, 10BASE-T1S supports multidrop topologies, which enable multiple ECUs to be connected. TDK ACT1210E Common Mode Filters feature characteristics suited to these 10BASE-T1S requirements while suppressing noise and improving the quality of telecommunication. The ACT1210E series is compliant with AEC-Q200 Rev. D.
