Texas Instruments LMG2650EVM-100 Daughter Card Evaluation Module
Texas Instruments LMG2650EVM-100 Daughter Card Evaluation Module offers a quick and easy platform for evaluating TI-integrated GaN devices in any half-bridge topology. The board uses six power pins and twelve digital pins to interface with a more extensive system on the bottom edge of the board in a socket-style external connection. Power pins comprise the main switching loop, which consists of a high-voltage DC bus, switch node, and power ground. The digital pins control the LMG2650 device using PWM gate inputs, equipping auxiliary power with low voltage supplies and reporting faults as a digital output.Evaluating the TI LMG2650EVM-100 daughter card performance is most easily demonstrated by employing a synchronous buck/boost motherboard from TI (LMG342X-BB-EVM). The daughter card effortlessly plugs into the motherboard and interfaces all power and digital control in an open-loop configuration for complete system control. Furthermore, a recommended footprint is supplied to interface the daughter card with a custom system for further testing.
