ESD Protection Solutions

Littelfuse provides a wide range of products that protect components from ESD threats. ESD threats are extremely fast, low-energy events that can wreak havoc on electronic equipment. Trends in reduced chip protection and harsher end-user environments are requiring the need for enhanced protection solutions. Littelfuse produces varistors, suppressors, indicators, and more so users can find the right protection to ensure the long-term reliable operation of applications.

Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes

Littelfuse TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Diodes are a broad range of circuit protection products designed to protect electronic circuits against transients and overvoltage threats such as EFT (electrically fast transients) and ESD (electro-static discharge). Lightning strikes, inductive load switching, and ESD cause electrical over-stresses associated with the transmission on data lines and electronic circuits. Offered in a variety of surface mount and through-hole circuit board mounting formats, the TVS Diode portfolio includes high peak pulse current and peak pulse power options up to 20kA and 30kW, respectively. Littelfuse TVS Diodes are chosen for the fast response time (low clamping voltage), lower capacitance, and low leakage current. TVS Diodes are available in both unidirectional (unipolar) or bidirectional (bipolar) diodes circuit configurations.

xEV Power Train Solutions

Littelfuse offers a wide portfolio of xEV Power Train Solutions that are suitable for automotive environments. This portfolio includes fuses, TVS diodes, diode arrays, gate drivers, high-voltage fuses, and thermal protectors. These products from Littelfuse are designed to be used in various EV sectors, such as battery management systems, traction motor inverters, onboard chargers, and the battery distribution unit.

TVS Silicon Protection Arrays (SPA)

Littelfuse Silicon Protection Array (SPA®) TVS Diodes are designed to protect electronics from very fast and damaging voltage transients, such as lightning and electrostatic discharge (ESD). These diodes offer an ideal protection solution for I/O interfaces and digital and analog signal lines in computer and consumer portable electronics. Littelfuse TVS diodes offer a broader application use and improved impulse protection performance over conventional diodes.

AQ1205-01UTG Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode

Littelfuse AQ1205-01UTG Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode is fabricated using proprietary silicon avalanche technology. This diode provides an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection level for electronic equipment. The AQ1205-01UTG TVS diode safely absorbs repetitive ESD strikes of ±30kV (contact and air discharge as defined in IEC 61000-4-2) without any performance degradation. This diode features a 20nA reverse leakage current (V_R = 4.5V) and 9pF maximum capacitance. The AQ1205-01UTG TVS diode is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable. This diode is Halogen and lead-free, and RoHS-compliant. Typical applications include automotive, battery protection, BMS, computer peripherals, medical equipment, notebooks/desktops/servers, Point-of-Sale terminals, switches/buttons, and test equipment/instrumentation.
